I have been working in mental health settings since 2009 starting in a respite facility for MHMR. I have worked at adult, child and adolescent psychiatric hospitals where I provided individual, group, and family counseling. I have experience in acute units as well as residential units providing trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I was a LPC-Intern starting in 2015 and fully licensed in 2016. I graduated with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Angelo State University.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques as well as motivational interviewing in my sessions. I have experience working with young adults and families going through grief and loss. I also completed a clinical trauma training course to be better equipped in working with individuals who have experienced trauma in their lives.
I love helping others become their best self and feel whole by helping them understand the origins of their specific struggles. I enjoy assisting patients in developing the right coping skills and tools to ease these struggles so they can lead joyful lives.
I love to spend time with my dogs, running races with my friends, and volunteering in the community with my women’s club.
